Home Burial

Your pets remains will stay with you. We will make pawprints and take a hair clipping for you if you would like these.

We will also provide a Euthabag, a respectful and environmentally friendly way to enclose your pets remains. The Euthabag can be decorated using markers or paint as a tribute to your beloved pet. It is safe to bury, and can even be exhumed in years to come if you move house and don't want to leave your pet behind.
There is no additional charge for this.

If you choose to bury your pet, it is important to ensure that:

- you own the property

- the burial site is not near any natural water source or well

- the grave is at least 3 feet deep, ideally more

- you have obtained the appropriate licence from DAFM by contacting your Regional Veterinary Office

- you are compliant with any other local regulations

Standard Cremation

Your pet will be respectfully cremated along with other pets, you will not receive any ashes. We will make clay pawprints and take a hair clipping for you if you would like these.

We will provide a Euthabag, a respectful and environmentally friendly way to enclose your pets remains, and transport them for cremation. The Euthabag can be decorated using markers or paint as a tribute to your beloved pet.

We will give you some private time with your pet before removing their remains, and will take care of the arrangements for cremation.

€110-€150 (size dependent)

You may also choose to keep your pet's remains with you for a longer period, and transport them yourself to Roundwood Vets or your own local veterinary practice where cremation arrangements can then be made (if you choose a local practice, they will advise you of the associated costs).

Individual Cremation

For individual pet cremation, we work with Maguire's Pet Cremation, who will collect your pet's remains directly from your home (usually within 24 hours), and will treat them with dignity and respect at all times. You will receive framed nose and paw prints, fur clippings, and ashes returned in a beautiful wicker basket or scatter tube (usually within 3 days).

Cremation Prices

€250-€350 (depending on size)

Collection of remains and return of ashes is free of charge in the Dublin area. Additional fees may apply for other areas.

You may alternatively make your own arrangements with a crematorium of your choosing.

Memorialization

A range of urns, caskets, jewellery, and other bespoke keepsakes are available at additional cost. You can see the options on Maguire's website or contact us for more information.

We can also commission a of a one of a kind pet portrait on your behalf at a special discounted rate. All portraits are hand drawn by Irish artist Gillian Ussher. A range of mediums and sizes are available, and delivery is free.
